Overview

Airnest ("the app") is designed with privacy as a default. The app collects no personal data, makes no network requests outside your local network, and requires no account or registration of any kind.

In short: we collect nothing. No analytics. No crash reports. No advertising identifiers. No data ever leaves your device or local network.

Data collected

The app collects no personal data whatsoever. Specifically:

Data stored on your device

The app stores only the following minimal data locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults:

None of this data is transmitted to any server. It exists solely on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.

Network communication

The app communicates exclusively with the companion Mac app on your local network using Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework (peer-to-peer Wi-Fi or Bluetooth). This communication is:

Third-party services

The app uses no third-party SDKs, libraries, or services. There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, or crash reporting services integrated into the app.

Local network permission

iOS will ask for permission to access the local network when you first launch the app. This permission is required solely to discover and connect to the Mac companion app on the same network. It is not used for any other purpose.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As no data is collected at all, the app complies with COPPA and similar regulations by default.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Given that the app collects no data, meaningful changes to this policy are unlikely.
