Airnest — Press kit (en)

Everything needed to write about Airnest: the facts, the boilerplate in three lengths, and the assets. If something is missing, ask. A reply takes hours, not weeks.

BOILERPLATE

[50 words]
Airnest turns an iPhone into a wireless trackpad, keyboard and remote for a Mac. It connects peer-to-peer over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, with no account, no pairing code, no server and no internet connection required. The trackpad is free; shortcuts and media controls unlock with a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

[100 words]
Airnest turns an iPhone into a wireless trackpad, keyboard and remote for a Mac. Open the app and the Mac is already there: the two connect directly over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth through Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework, end-to-end encrypted, with no account, no pairing code, no IP address and no server in between. It works with no internet connection at all. The cursor is velocity-adaptive, so it feels like a trackpad rather than a remote. The free Mac companion is about 400 KB and lives in the menu bar. The trackpad is free forever; Premium is a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

[200 words]
Airnest turns an iPhone into a wireless trackpad, keyboard and remote control for a Mac. Open the app and the Mac is already there. The two devices find each other over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth through Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework and talk directly, end-to-end encrypted, with no account, no pairing code, no IP address, no port to open and no server in between. Because nothing is routed through the internet, Airnest works on a plane, in a cabin, or on any network with no connection at all. The cursor is velocity-adaptive: quick when the thumb moves fast, surgical when it slows down. Two fingers scroll with momentum, two fingers tap to right-click. The keyboard sends real keystrokes, so every macOS shortcut works, and a shortcut bar puts the App Switcher, Mission Control and Spotlight one tap away. Media controls handle volume, brightness and playback, and Wake on LAN brings a sleeping Mac back with a single tap. The free companion, Airnest for Mac, is about 400 KB and lives in the menu bar. Nothing is collected: no analytics, no tracking, no account. The trackpad is free forever; Premium, which covers the keyboard shortcuts and the media controls, is a one-time purchase. Airnest is available in ten languages.

WHAT AIRNEST IS NOT

- Not screen sharing or remote desktop. No VNC, no video stream, no view of the Mac's screen on the iPhone.
- Not cross-platform. iPhone and Mac only, with no Android, no Windows and no iPad version to date.
- Not usable outside the local network. That is a design choice, not a missing feature.
